The 45th-ranked Rockhurst Hawks fell to 20th-ranked Drury, 5-2, in the semifinals of the GLVC Men's Tennis Tournament on Friday at the West Indy Racquet Club in Indianapolis. Rockhurst will meet Indianapolis in the third-place match of the GLVC Tournament at 3 p.m. Saturday.

Yassir El Ghazi and Rodolfo Gauto-Mariotti won in No. 2 doubles by a 9-7 score over Drury. Truit Gray was a winner in No. 5 singles, 6-3, 6-3, for the Hawks.

Earlier Friday, the Hawks defeated 36th-ranked Lewis 5-4 in the quarterfinals. John Lazenby and Pawel Grzegrzolka won their No. 1 doubles match, 9-7. Gauto-Mariotti and El Ghazi were winners in No. 2 doubles by an 8-2 score. El Ghazi, Gray and Anthony Ibarra captured their singles matches. El Ghazi won No. 2 singles, 6-2, 2-6, 7-5. Gray was a winner in No. 5 singles, 6-0, 6-3, and Ibarra won in No. 6 singles, 6-2, 6-2.

Gauto-Mariotti and El Ghazi were named to the All-GLVC Men's Tennis Team Thursday night. El Ghazi is a two-time All-GLVC honoree.
