The Rockhurst Hawks opened conference play with a 7-1 victory over William Jewell on Wednesday at the Clayview Country Club in Kansas City, Mo.

Rockhurst jumped out to a 3-0 lead after the three doubles matches. The Hawks won four of the six singles matches. The No. 6 singles match was unfinished.

The Hawks (7-5, 1-0 GLVC) host Drury on Friday, March 29.
